Undergraduate Research Assistant
Undergraduate Student, Civil and Environmental Engineering
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Mingming Gui is an undergraduate student with a focus in Environmental Engineering and Science and Energy-Water-Environment Sustainability in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her research explores the performance of green infrastructure under different rainfall conditions. Specifically, she is modelling the hydrologic performance of a rain garden under different storm events by creating, calibrating, and validating a SWMM green infrastructure model with existing datasets.
On campus, Mingming is involved in the Water Environment Federation, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Philosophy Club. She is the social chair of Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional and social engineering sorority that promotes friendship, leadership, and professionalism. In her spare time, Mingming likes to read, watch movies, do judo, and cook.
