This scholarship is awarded annually to one M.S. student performing research in the fields of water treatment, distribution, and environmental science.

The AWWA Larson Aquatic Research Scholarship was founded in 1984, and is named after Dr. Thurston E. He was also a great contributor to the establishment of the AWWA Research Foundation in 1967.
