Vica Otrubina is an M.S. student in the Energy-Water-Environment Sustainability program in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She completed her B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with a secondary focus in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2021. Her undergraduate research analyzed the policy context of water reuse in the United States. In her graduate research, she is studying the effects of feedback on shower duration and water consumption in collaboration with University Housing.

Vica serves on the Executive Board of Theta Tau, a professional engineering fraternity. In addition to her research in the Stillwell Research Group, she was previously a student researcher at the Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratory. She enjoys cooking and is a gym junkie.
